Welcome back to Rose Rands

We are very happy to be welcoming Rose Rands back to sing with us at our next concert. Those who came to our Christmas concert will know what a joy it was to listen to her wonderful voice.

Kiwi-British soprano Rose Rands graduated from RWCMD with MMus (distinction), after receiving philosophy degrees from Oxford University and King’s College London. In 2024, Rose received first prize in the London Classical and Paris International Music Competitions, and she won grants from the Nicholas Boas Trust, the Mario Lanza Foundation, and Help Musicians UK to support her creative projects. Rose is passionate about original theatre and interdisciplinary work, having co-created and starred in a “choreopera” at Laban Theatre, and having written the libretto for a new song cycle for her voice by composer Marco Galvani. Recent operatic roles include Annina in La Traviata (Verdi), and Lover/Midinette in Il Tabarro (Puccini). Engagements in summer 2025 include Peter Grimes with New Palace Opera and The Magic Flute with Opera Greenwich, where Rose has been an artist on the Artist Development Programme at Greenwich Theatre this season. Rose studies singing at the London Singers Studio. For more information please visit www.roserands.com
