… we have Dominic Felts joining us as the bass soloist.
Dominic Felts is a Bass-Baritone from Lincolnshire and alumnus of Trinity Laban Conservatoire, graduating with Distinction from the Master of Music (Vocal Studies) programme in 2023. A versatile young singer, Dominic is equally at home performing solo in recital and oratorio, on stage in opera or within an ensemble. As a budding soloist, he recently performed Bach’s St John Passion at St Martin in the Fields in London, and in Brașov, Romania. In July 2024, Dominic performed in the opera chorus at Buxton International Festival, also covering the role of Escamillo in Peter Brook’s La Tragédie de Carmen – an adaptation of Bizet’s Carmen.
As an ensemble singer, Dominic has trained with world renowned ensembles such as The Sixteen and Stile Antico. He was also a member of the St Martin in the Fields Emerging Artists scheme and VOCES8 UK Scholars 2023/24. He now regularly performs with ensembles such as Platinum Consort, St Martin’s Voices, VOCES8 Scholars, and the Philharmonia Chorus. As well as performing, Dominic is passionate about music education. He leads workshops in schools with the VOCES8 Foundation and assists on projects with Gabrieli Roar.
